Farmers engagements
Value Chain Collaborations and Economic Impact
We collaborate with local farmers in both the groundnuts and beans value chains, aiming to substitute peanut imports, thus saving the country foreign exchange. This initiative also improves access to raw materials for processing and provides reliable employment opportunities for youths in both urban and rural areas.
Stakeholder
Partnerships and Agricultural Innovation
As part of our collaboration efforts in these value chains, we are working with various stakeholders, including The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), World Food Program’s Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA), Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), and the Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA) under the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), among others. We promote the use of regenerative agriculture principles, enhanced seed varieties, and aflatoxin control technologies such as Aflasafe to ensure crops are drought-resistant and have higher yields of good quality.
